Your Pets, Our Life! We have been serving the Sauk County area since 1975 when Hill-Dale Veterinary Hospital had its humble beginnings in a converted garage on Gall Road as "Schellenberger Veterinary Clinic." Dr. Schellenberger was the sole veterinarian and his wife, Grace, provided all the backup.  The practice was both large animal and small.

The business moved to 536 Berkley Boulevard in West Baraboo in 1980 and the name changed to Hill-Dale Veterinary Hospital in 1983.  In 1993, the practice became a companion animal practice and no longer provided large animal service.  After a couple remodels and an addition, the hospital continues to provide high quality services and products for our patients and their owners.

We offer emergency care between the hours of 7AM and 10PM, 7 days a week.  If you have an emergency during those times, dial our main number (608) 356-9433, and you will receive instructions on how to speak with the Doctor on call.  For care between the hours of 10PM and 7AM, call Veterinary Emergency Services in Middleton at (608)831-1101.

We are proud to be AAHA Accredited! Click HERE to discover what this accreditation means to you.

Sincerely,

Dr. Carl Schellenberger, DVM
