Dr. Mesiar is originally from Eau Claire, Wisconsin; she grew up on a hobby farm surrounded constantly by horses, chickens, dogs, cats, and whatever exotic pet she could persuade her parents to let her keep. She has had a lifelong passion for animals that led her to Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. She then received her Doctorate of Veterinary medicine from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she graduated in 2016. The past few years have been spent exploring different states, practicing veterinary medicine in California and Ohio. Very recently, she moved back to Wisconsin to be closer to her family and friends, and purchased a house in Arena. Her three cats are a source of constant entertainment, and are also the reason she can’t have nice things. In her free time, she finds herself buried under cats, gardening, improving/renovating her ancient house, swimming, reading, or enjoying the company of friends/family in Madison. The drive to Baraboo is often the highlight of her week.
